Rabbi Mordechai
and Rebbetzin Henny insisted that at the very top of any page
about them – before asking for contributions – I include their
heartfelt and sincere request that you come by for a visit. Knowing them
like I do, I can assure you that their invitation is truly
heartfelt. There’s nothing Rabbi and Rebbetzin Machlis enjoy more
than meeting old friends and making new ones, and being able to
provide for all friends, new and old alike, a place in
Jerusalem that they can comfortably consider their home. So I’m
passing on their request that you feel free to stop by any time to
chat, to study some Torah, to reinvigorate yourself in the
spiritually luxurious atmosphere of their home and family or to join
the ingathering of exiles that make up their heimish and
sumptuous Shabbat banquets.
The Jerusalem Hospitality Center is located in the
Machlis's home in Jerusalem’s Maalot Dafna neighborhood, Building
137 Apartment 26 and is Shabbat-walkable from almost any location in
Jerusalem.
You can find them here on Google Maps: http://tinyurl.com/machlishome
Henny also asked that I give you her number.
You’re very welcome to stop by any time and certainly to join
their family for Shabbat or Yom Tov without needing to call ahead. A
few times a year though the Machlis family leave town for a Shabbat
so you might like to call in advance just to make sure that they’ll
be in when you’re be coming by. Even those few times though when
they aren’t in, ample shabbat sustenance will be
available.
Henny can be reached at (011)
972-2-581-3910.
And please
believe me when I tell you that, financial difficulties
notwithstanding, the Machlises really do want you to
come!
